ChFC®- Chartered Financial Consultant
The ChFC® Designation provides comprehensive coverage of key financial planning disciplines, including insurance, income taxation, retirement planning, investments and estate planning. ChFC® Candidates must successfully complete nine educational courses meet experience requirements and a strict code of ethics standards.
ChFC® Curriculum Requirements:

ChFC® Experience Requirements:
Three years of full-time relevant business experience is required for ChCF® designation. The Three-year period must be within the five years preceding the date of the award.
ChFC® Continuing Education Requirements:
ChFC® designees are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years to maintain their ChFC® designation.
CFP® - Certified Financial Planner
The CFP® designation provides comprehensive coverage of key financial planning disciplines, including insurance, income taxation, retirement planning, investments, and estate planning. CFP® candidates must poses a bachelor’s degree (or higher), from an accredited college or university. Successfully complete six educational courses and then pass a comprehensive exam, in addition to meeting experience requirements and a strict code of ethics standards.
CFP® Degree Requirement:
A bachelor’s degree (or higher), in any discipline, from an accredited college or university is required to attain CFP® certification.

Successfully pass the 10 hour comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam.
