Our Team

Monika is a former adjunct professor with in the Economics Department at Mesa Community College, teaching both Macro & Micro Economics. She began her Financial Services career in 1999, and has previously worked as a Senior Financial Consultant, VP of Investments with WAMU Investments for nine years. She joined Financial Plan Design in January of 2009. Monika received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM certification in 2007, and Chartered Life Underwriter Designation CLU in 2015. She is committed to providing comprehensive financial planning and tactical asset management with an emphasis on market trends for her clients. Her background in both Economics and Financial Planning provides her with a broad insight into how markets perform.

Monika is a graduate of University of California @ Santa Cruz and holds a BA in Economics & a MS in Applied Economics.

Interests outside of providing financial services for her clients include spending time with her spouse Anthony and their three beautiful children. Monika would like to fulfill her passion for teaching Investments and Economics alongside her consulting career once her children are older.

Marty began his Financial Services Career in the early 70’s. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter Designation CLU in 1975 and his Registered Health Underwriter Designation in 1984. Marty has been a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table each year since 1973, a premier association of the insurance and financial service industry.  Annual qualification requirements for joining include demonstrating a set annual production requirement plus agreeing to adhere to a strict code of ethics . Marty joined Financial Plan Design in 1986 and specializes in implementing strategies to create and diversify wealth using trusts*, family limited partnerships, asset allocation in managed accounts as well as insurance and annuities. His license plate reads “PRE TAX” which says it all. His approach is to give Clarity and Confidence in a Complex World.

Marty is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy. He also attended graduate courses in banking and finance from University of Southern California.

Interests outside of providing financial plans for his clients include spending time with his wife Mary Alice, 2 daughters and granddaughters. He has served actively in Rotary since 1978, as a past District Governor and current Chair of Public Relations for the Western United States.

Brooke began her career with LPL Financial as a consultant to help advisors grow and scale their businesses where she stayed for two years before joining Financial Plan Design in 2023. Born and raised in San Diego, she attained her degree in Finance from San Diego State where she was also on the cheerleading team. Since then, she has acquired her securities licenses and is currently studying for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM designation.

Brooke has a passion for assisting clients in the development of their financial plans where she is able to give them confidence in protecting and building their assets over time. 

Her interests outside of serving clients include spending time with her fiancé Garrett and their families.

Originally from the Philippines, Gina helped manage her family business for 9 years before moving to the States in September 2000. She began her career in the Finance Industry in 2003 with LPL Financial before joining our team in October 2014. She has more than 15 years of management experience. Gina enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.

Joined our team in June 2012 as a receptionist, in August 2012 she was promoted to administrative assistant. Laurie has 20 years of customer service and 10 years of management experience. She assists with daily operations as needed. Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids and her dog Celine.
